Natural Stone Awards

We are delighted to announce that our works at The Drapers’ Hall London have been commended in the Repair & Restoration category at the 2020 Natural Stone Awards, sponsored by Historic England.

The Drapers’ Hall stands on the site of the Augustinian Priory, and was originally built by the Earl of Sussex Thomas Cromwell in the 1530s. The latest works involved two phases of cleaning & restoration of the ornate Portland stone courtyard.

The judges felt that this project was a wonderful example of a well thought out and planned conservation project under extreme time constraints.
