160 Old Street (formerly 148)

Working alongside Wates Construction & ORMS Architects, Restore London limited initially provided samples & technical solutions for the required internal finishes. The brief was to refurbish and clean/strip/repair the existing concrete structure internally to leave the original office spaces as a fresh contemporary backdrop. ORMS design took the former ancillary spaces (parking, back of house etc.) & transformed them into dynamic, informal, flexible and collaborative office spaces.

Our internal refurbishment works commenced with the erection of sequential demarcation zones for our wet abrasive works to continue through all floors unabated (and with minimal impact on other trades). After this clean was completed, we carried out concrete repairs & finally applied a clear sealant to all the concrete surfaces.

Once cured we thoroughly inspected, signed off & protected all columns & vulnerable edges through to PC. Works were completed to the satisfaction of the Client team – on time.

Due to Restore London’s specialist versatility and experience we also successfully undertook the design, fabrication & installation of the bespoke pre-cast column cladding to the external facades form ground level to first floor. The resultant high-quality pre-cast stone installation drew unanimous plaudits from all stakeholders.
