Criterion Theatre

Restore London were appointed to carry out remedial works to the Grade II* Criterion Theatre canopy in the heart of Piccadilly Circus. Located in a busy pedestrian area, access scaffolding around the canopy was constructed out of hours to minimise risk & inconvenience to the public. Existing lead to the canopy was stripped and renewed in Code 6 leadwork,  including new flashings. Our team decorated all areas, including the surrounding façade, as well as restoration and decoration works to the ornate gold crest at the centre of the canopy structure. The team also restored the metal work, installing metal roses which were cast and fixed (which had been missing prior to the works).

Our works were completed to the highest quality, safely and on time ready for the reopening of the theatre, much to the delight of the Theatre Board of Directors.
