Harrods Gas Passage Area 5

The Restore London Ltd team were employed by Harrods Ltd as Principal Contractors on this Essential Maintenance & Repairs project. The project scope included structural repairs, required due to historic water ingress, to the sub-structure beneath the Hans Road pavement. Works included full replacement of a storeroom concrete structural soffit, repairs and strengthening of the structural steel support frame along with mechanical & electrical services diversions.

Logistics and temporary works involved the installation of a pedestrian walkway and a watertight hoarding enclosure, both of which required local authority sanction and licencing. Due to the nature and prestige of the client, our works required installation to the highest of standards, ensuring local residents & store customers were not unduly inconvenienced by the project. Additionally, a scaffold crash deck was installed to safely manage the demolition elements of the project & provide working access for the installation of the new structural elements. On completion of the structural works, Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea contractors were utilised to reinstate the pavement prior to removal of the hoarding & walkway. The project was delivered on time & below budget, providing the client with a funding surplus. We have since tendered a similar project for this client & are currently being advised that we are to be recommended.
