Spencer House – Phase 1 & 2

Restore London were privileged to deploy their time-served Cleaners, Masons & Façade Restorers to carry out the specialist external cleaning, restoration and conservation works at the iconic Spencer House, London. The works involved specialist cleaning of the Portland Stone using an ammonium carbonate poultice, super-heated steam, and the JOS systems.

Our crafts trades indented the entablature, carried out matching mortar repairs (incorporating ceramic “T“ armatures), repointing, nano-lime consolidation works & lime shelter coats to the statues. Original iron cramps were also removed and replaced with stainless steel. The Project works also included leadwork repairs and replacement io the ornate cornice sections & new lead hopper heads.
